Ooty : A famous hill station in India
Ooty, and Coonoor.
Let’s complain in starting of the blog, oh God! Why are you so kind to the Southern part of India? Greenery, springs, mountains, sea, and whatnot. Yes, today we will visit two beautiful towns in Southern India, Ooty, and Coonoor.
Ooty is a very famous hill station in Tamilnadu. If you are visiting Mysore then you can easily add Ooty and Conoor in your list. If you are choosing to visit Ooty from Mysore then the road trip itself will be very serene. The three hours ride is passing through Mudumalai National Park of Tamilnadu. You can easily spot Elephants, dotted deers, or monkeys in your way. The walk of Elephant is like he is the king of that forest, doesn’t care about anyone passing by it. The same way dotted deer can be spotted in large folk enjoying their feast of fresh green grass.
Mudumalai National Park
This National park is closed from 8PM to 6AM for public vehicles. The step is taken by the government to avoid accidents which were used to happen due to over speeding of vehicles. We must keep it in mind that we are in an animal’s Kingdom, so we must follow the rules of the forest for sure. However, there are some resorts which are located within National park. There is a Safari run by Government which usually takes you to some pre-decided route into the forest where if you are lucky can see a few more animals. The timing of this safari ride is between 9AM to 1PM and 3PM to 6PM only. Apart from this, there are private tour operators also who provide safari rides in National park.
