So finally on the 3rd of September, the Indian government announced the ban to one of the most trending and loving games ‘PUBG Mobile’. Before PUBG mobile, already the government banned many other famous Chinese applications like Tiktok, Xender, Cam Scanner, Vigo, and many more because of which actually somewhere people across the whole country were disappointed. Tiktok was one of the famous Chinese application which was used by people of every age group in India and the people were mad behind it but when the government announced the of banning almost all the Chinese applications, all the Indians patriotically supported the decision of the Indian government. Now the government has banned PUBG Mobile too for data security reasons and this decision had truly unhappily hit most to the youths of the country.

PUBG Mobile (Player Unknown Battleground) is one of the most popular games among today’s youth not only among Indian youth but in all over the world. Moreover, the graphics of this game plays an important role in the craziness of the people for this game. PUBG Mobile basically belongs to a Korean gaming company which was later sponsored by a Chinese company named Tencent games which is the main reason for the banning of this game by the Indian government in India. Also after hearing the ban of PUBG Mobile in India, officially the PUBG corporation has announced to remove all the authorized permission and shares of Tencent games of PUBG Mobile in Indian.

Apart from this, the Indian government has yet not cleared the things on taking up the ban from PUBG Mobile.

A cold fight is between India and China for land on LOC which is the most trending news in international Media. Because of LOC land accommodation stress the Indian government has started gradually boycotting all the Chinese applications and Chinese products from India, where Primi Minister gave a slang ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ which means self-dependent Bharat.

Viewing this decision for country development, it is the neediest and amazing step taken by the Indian government towards the progress of the nation but right now the ratio of jobless youth is more in-country which is the bitter truth.

Here some people are losing their jobs, also job opportunities for freshers are least, the status of government jobs have no updates and all this is because of a pandemic. In the tough and rigid situation games like PUBG Mobile helps in reducing stress and depression from youth.

The main benefit of PUBG Mobile was, one the player who is playing need not meet anyone and still stay connected to the other people he/she want to play with. One just needs an abandoned source of mobile data/internet to enter the game and play. What else one needs during this crucial corona period where one is strictly restricted to meet their loved ones or anyone else whom they want to. In the lockdown period, this game helped many younger people to survive and live a lockdown life with little less stress. But as saying goes every coin has its two sides, a positive and a negative.

Anything beyond limit causes harm similarly over-involvement of youth in this game was not so fruitful. Several cases came across the country where people lost their mental abilities and control were as many took their lives and many spent money of their parents in-game.

The interest and craze for gaming are good but when it initiates a takeover to personal space it is damn dangerous. Recently news arrived where an 11-year-old boy took the life of a 10-year-old girl and he took this life taking a step against a girl just because that girl defeated him several times in online games. Mental conditions at this worst level just because the game is too scary and dangerous for youths.

Playing games in free time is not bad but when it takes your extra time too then it is a poison. After banning PUBG Mobile in India, the Indian gaming company is going to launch a game named “FAU-G” which is similar to PUBG.

Also PUBG Mobile was one type of source of income for many people by which they use to do live streaming on YouTube and many organize competitions. The government is not taking action against the youth interest, government is just fulfilling their agenda of boycotting all the Chines products and applications.

The government did Right?

The point to be noted between this whole scenario of boycotting the Chinese products and applications to be self-dependent is, that government is focusing on the problem of being dependent but are they also focusing on its main solution of being self-dependent! that is towards availability and vacancies of jobs for the youth who is already unemployed and for the people who become unemployed just because of the pandemic. The government should also focus on how to develop more schemes to encourage jobless youth and provide more platforms to promote their talent. The government has to promote and creating an opportunity for game developers and application makers then It will be a real and actual fight with china.
